Just back from the Galapagos Islands

Hi All--there were no services in the Galapagos Islands so I wasn´t able to post any pictures, but when we get back home tomorrow I definitely will. There were too many cool things going on there not to share. We spent 3 nights there, and could have stayed a week longer. They have so much interesting wildlife that seem unfazed by the tourists there, it is fascinating. We got to see huge land tortises every where--we literally had to slow down to watch one cross the road! We saw the blue footed booby, tons and I mean tons of land iguanas, eagle rays, sea turtles, sea lions and the worlds only tropical penguins! It was a great experience and we all absolutely loved it. We got to see the giant land tortise breeding grounds and saw Lonesome George, the last of his species of the giant turtle (there are lots of different subspecies and George happens to be the last of his kind). We jut got back to Guayaquil and waiting for our flight to Miami that just got pushed back to leave at 1:30am now. Do you think we are going to be a little tired waiting for that plane? Then we get to Miami at 7am and then should be in Omaha at 11am Sunday morning. I think I will scrap anything planned for Sunday in favor up sleep!
