0n to Jaipur

Women doing field work
Local women sewing

Working camel, all adorned

After 2 nights at the Tiger reserve and not a tiger to be found we are on to Jaipur. We took a morning and evening safari yesterday and saw a lot of interesting animals, but not the elusive tiger. Cynical Doug questions their existence...he might not be far off.
Olivia lost a tooth yesterday, and said she hoped the tooth fairy would bring her a roast beef sandwich. The kids aren't lovin' the curry quite like Doug and I. Alas, the tooth fairy left 200 rupees under her pillow.
There were no woman working in our hotel at all, but you see hundreds of them in the mustard fields with their colorful saris, pulling weeds or making cow pies for fire. They say the women don't get educated and are the hard laborers in the country. IT was sad to see.
We have 4 hours left in our 5 hour drive, the last drive in India. I have to say we won't miss the rides, although the driver has been so nice and accomodating and it is comfortable. Plus we have seen so much of Indian life-eye opening without a doubt. I hope my stomach can handle it. I asked for my food spicy at the hotel and they took it as their mission to please me. They really kicked it up a notch for breakfast this morning.
